Pet care experience
I’ve been caring for multiple pets since I was a youngster. I also worked for a large animal shelter, where I’d walk, socialize, administer medication, and generally spend time with dogs & cats. Working in a shelter environment means I have basic certifications in safe walking & I can recognize pet body language, including signs of stress. I view dogs & cats as some of the closest companions humans can have, and I truly love spending my time caring for these special creatures.
Reviews
Dylan is fantastic! He has a great way with dogs and he took good care of our house while we were away. Cannot recommend enough
Dylan is great. Is is extremely reliable and flexible given our chaotic schedules. He is also very responsive when things come up. Highly recommended to anyone who needs drop in visits!

Safety, trust & environment
Having two rescues myself, I have experience setting boundaries for pets, which I find creates a calmer environment for pets & humans. I am comfortable reinforcing training habits like crating and potty training. I typically take my dogs out to walk & go potty at least 3 times a day. Depending on the weather (my dogs don’t like the rain) I will walk anywhere from 10-20 minutes, but can go as long as a client would like (some pets need more exercise!). I’m willing to follow any household rules a client has in place.
Information Dylan M. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your dog has any special needs that I can help with. Is your let reactive on/off leash? Do they prefer a slower pace? Anything that will help me make your dog’s experience the best it can be!
A typical day
Stimulation and regular exercise is important for all dogs; on walks, I mainly prefer to let the dogs take in their surroundings so they are less stressed during the day. I find that keeping them mentally stimulated by rewarding them for quick, easy tasks also builds their confidence when they’re out & about.

Availability
I recently relocated to Philadelphia after living in the Southwestern US for several years. My wife works full time and I am looking for flexible part time work to fit my schedule. As such, I’m typically available to walk and care for pets during the week.
