Pet care experience
I love all animals! Dogs, cats, cows, reptiles, chickens, rodents, sheep, goats, birds, etc! Have rescued a dozen pets in the past decade, most of which have stayed in my family. I have one male cat named Jasper, he is 8+ years old and my true joy! I love connecting with each animal in their unique ways, I truly believe we have a lot to learn from these compassionate beings. It's my pleasure to make them feel safe, loved, well fed and fully exercised! I am happy to offer extra services that include picking up or dropping off (you provide crate), giving medications orally (I don't do injections), brushing, cleaning litter boxes, feeding your other animals, guided training, etc. Please don't hesitate to ask for more help, I'm here for you and your pet! I don't have a lot of experience with disabled or very old animals but I'm willing to learn what their specific and special needs are. I have had older dogs in my life so I do have a basic grasp on their needs but everyone is unique!

Lily C. has taken care of our pets when we were out of town on several occasions. We have 3 dogs, a bird and 1 cat, plus a 75 gallon fish tank with 20 fish. We always felt comfortable with the care of our pets when in Lily’s care. We always came back to happy healthy animals with a freshly cleaned cat box. We have had several people watch our animals over the years, but lily is one our favorite caregivers. If she is ever to move back to Vermont, we would love to have her care for our pets when needed. I'll gladly learn the typical schedule you have with your pet so that they feel their care is secure and stable. Time of feeding, length of walk, treats, etc. Just let me know and I'll do my best to make you both feel considered and cared for. I'm not currently doing doggy day care or boarding. Eventually I will offer that service again! I might be open to it on a case by case basis.

My cat is mainly outdoor and hangs around outside. Is your dog okay with the presence of cats? Does your dog bark a lot? Is your dog potty trained? Does your dog get along with other dogs? During a car ride, what type of behavior does your dog display?
A typical day
I live on 13 acres of shared land, we are at the top of the hill and the property goes down into a seasonal creekside. Long walks on the land are very easy, just out my front door! There are fenced areas all around the property however I wouldn't go so far as saying that are escape proof. If your pet requires that, I will happily bring them to a dog park! I'll keep your dog on a leash during our walks.

Availability
I mostly work remote from home with the occasional pop into the warehouse once or twice a week. My schedule can be pretty flexible for the most part!
