i probably will regret telling dup about rover. com and leaving this review because he's been my number one sitter, but now i'll have to compete for his time! dup first watched my dogs/house in 2007. at that time i had a lot of anxiety and was extremely nervous about being apart from my dogs at all, let alone my home and belongings and had gone a while without traveling. dup presented himself as caring, confident and trustworthy and was very open to my communication (lists of rules lol). i was able to travel feeling safe and reassured my pets and home were in great hands. since 2007, dup has been my sitter of choice. i've even gone so far as to arrange flying him from the east coast to the bay area a few times. i had a hard time finding someone i liked and trusted as much as dup and just haven't been happy with other sitters since meeting him. my pets (2 dogs, 1 cat) clearly enjoy his company judging by how excited they get to see him. he's excellent with cats as well as dogs and has managed medication for both. he's very good about giving the pets lots of personal attention in the form of petting/cuddling them and is an active guy who keeps them moving when that's what they want. he keeps in touch and will send photo updates if you want. for me, that sometimes makes me miss my pets more though. i just like a few texts letting me know everything is ok. i'm very glad to have dup near me again. i cannot recommend him highly enough. i am hoping i will still have first priority though.... :)
