I volunteered at a dog shelter for 7 months before relocating back to Charlotte. Within 3 months, I was designated as a shift supervisor. During my tenure, I learned everything that came along with being a caretaker for dogs. From administering medication to quarantining for parvo and everything in between, I learned the best and worst parts of having a furry child. To many, this would discourage a person from adopting a dog but I am not many. I further developed my love for animal welfare there and decided that it would be my main life goal. In addition, I adopted a dog from the shelter as well. He had kennel cough when he arrived and I administered his medications daily, no matter what it took. He has now grown up healthy and spoiled haha. I promise to treat your dog as mine: protect, feed, run, and enjoy our time in nature so that you come home to a happy dog that is not itching to get out and use the bathroom.
