Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Dru and I am a 22 year old college honor student at Delgado Community College. When I graduate soon I will be going to Ole Miss on a full scholarship that I worked very hard for! I am the Omega Nu chapter president for Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and also a regional officer serving as Louisiana Representative for PTK. In addition I am Delgado’s City Park Campus President and COSBP representative! I have always adored animals since I was a little girl, even starting a small business at 10 until I was 14 washing and grooming people's pets in the neighborhood! I am always the first person my family and friends ask to babysit their fur babies as I love to spoil and play with them as long as I have them! I can do everything from bathing, to cuddling (which I LOVE), to feeding, to playing, and I am even comfortable giving medicine. I am comfortable around all dogs of every breed! I understand that some dogs will take some more time to get comfortable around other people so I am very patient and understanding. I will never push your fur baby to be out of their comfort zone. I work closely with the LaSPCA at Delgado as well. I started a yearly event (4 times a year) where they bring some of their dogs on campus during finals and midterms so that students can cuddle them in-between exams. They are also able to meet dogs that are available for adoption right on campus instead of driving all the way to the shelter. It has been a hit with students (and puppies!) and will continue yearly. I am a student currently, so my availability is completely open all day! I am flexible and able to work with your schedules. I live in an apartment, so I do not have a yard. BUT, I am within walking distance from many green spaces and walking trails. I am also a very short driving distance from many parks that I always bring my own fur baby to weekly. I do not live with anyone else, but I have a small and friendly dog. This means that I will never leave your baby alone and will always be there for love, cuddles, and long walks! I use Rover full-time! I am very flexible but love long-term schedules as well. All of my classes have moved to being online, this means that I am available anytime you need me. I do not have a yard, but I am walking/driving distance from green areas and parks! I live alone, so I will never leave your fur baby alone. I take my baby with me everywhere, so yours will come along! I love to go on long walks and give lots of cuddles.

I can't say enough positive things about Dru Collins as a person. She is a marvelous communicator, professional and very reliable. When she commits to dates & times she has always stuck to them. I work in the fast paced entertainment industry and often have unforeseen early days or late night or even out of town travel. Nearly every time I've had something come up last minute I've been able to call Dru and she's been there for us. I trust her 100% with coming in and out of my house and my dogs absolutely lover her! Dru has a natural gift with animals. Before we committed to a weekly walking schedule she came to the house to meet and get comfortable with everyone. I have two senior dogs who each have special needs (vitamins, food, harnesses) for which she took detailed notes. I have motion activated cameras so I know when she arrives and when she leaves after walks and feedings are done, her punctuality and integrity are without a doubt difficult personality traits to find in people these days.
Ms. Collins is a close personal friend and colleague of mine. Since meeting Dru over a year ago I've seen her continuously go above and beyond for her work and service to others. She's the president of our college's Phi Theta Kappa honor society chapter. In her role as President Dru has demonstrated leadership and Initiative. She is a bright, passionate, hard-working young lady who is a reliable addition to any team or organization. Her passion for pet care has always been evident in conversations.
Dru is a reliable, kind, hard working person. I have known her for years and would highly recommend her. She takes her time with animals and has great relationships with them.
Dru has a special heart and understanding of dogs . She had a passion for providing love and support for her four legged friends. She works to educate those around her to broaden the knowledge, care, and support for fur-babies. Her drive, work ethic, and moral character are superb. She has the energy to match any level of dog and can provide consistent support to her fur-friends.
