Pet care experience
I’m Drew and I love dogs for their unique and fun personalities and excitability. No two dogs are the same and I believe each and every pup has a silly side that they share with those they truly trust. My responsibility as a dog walker and sitter is to find what makes dogs comfortable and let them thrive in that! It’s always my goal to make dogs (and other animals) I interact with feel at home with me, as well as provide owners with a sense of ease and safety when they have to be away from their furry friends. My experience with animals is founded in the knowledge imprinted in me at an early age with my own pets and has been a growing and learning experience since working with Rover. Growing up, my dad was in the K-9 unit so his German Shepherd became of our family pet. We added a couple more dogs to the crew after that, which I helped feed, bathe, and train. I also had an amazing experience volunteering at a "no-kill" shelter where I helped care for dogs who were either malnourished or disabled, often feeding and bathing them to ease their pain. In addition to our canine counterparts, I also owned two pet lovebirds and a chinchilla. My mother also had a slight obsession with turtles so I cared for a pair of box turtles as well as 8-10 red-eared sliders. Looking back, it seems quite eclectic but it was a pretty normal day-to-day thing for our family. I’ve definitely always had a natural curiosity about animals because they all have their own traits and habits! And if I'm meeting a new animal, I am always intrigued and very patient in learning how to care for them properly. It's no surprise that I can spend hours at the zoo. Ultimately this makes me very open to caring for other pets on Rover. Why should I discriminate? All animals deserve quality care and attention and I'm glad to be the person to do it. I'm so excited to meet more dogs and animals! Every pet I meet, not only do I care for them, I feel I learn from them as well. They’ve each touched my life in some way, which has been so special. The connections I have already made have been memories I really cherish and leaves me wanting to evolve into the best caretaker that I can be. And with that goal in mind, to also be the best human I can be. I can’t wait to meet you!
Reviews
Drew takes such good care of our senior pup when we are out of town. She is reactive to other dogs, takes meds daily, and is a tri-pawd. Drew always handles her with ease and care. Drew’s updates are regular and timely and is always quick to respond when we check in. This was our first trip after our 2nd dog passed and it always makes us feel comfortable traveling abroad when Drew house sits for us.
Drew has been our Go-To for a few years now. They are like clockwork with their updates. We have a very leash reactive tri-pawed schnauzer who Drew is able to handle. We also have a 17 year old schnauzer that has some special needs due to his advanced age. Drew is able to handle it all, meds and supplements for each dog, special feeding time care, etc. We can’t recommend them enough.
Drew us out Go-To and always takes good care of our seniors.
Always Great!

I have a two-level apartment that allows me to designate the bottom floor for pet care and sitting. On the bottom basement level of my apartment, I have room for additional crates, cages, and a play pen of my own. In your own home, I can adapt to your pet's routine (with your guidance) to make the experience just another day, but under my expert care. While your pet is with me, wherever it may be, they will feel right at home.

Information Drew T. would like to know about your pet
Before a stay, I like to set up a meet and greet so I can get to know you and your pup better. It’s always important that we are a great fit. I like to learn about your dog’s normal schedule and routine as well as any medical issues or behavioral tendencies they might have. I also love all breeds, sizes, and personalities of dogs and don’t discriminate when it comes to caring for your pet
A typical day
On a stay with me, your pup will be well-loved and taken care of. We will be sure to stay active, explore the neighborhood, and find new smells. One of my personal favorite spots to bring pups is the St. Nicholas Park because it has so many different trails and trees. It’s so beautiful to walk through and once you get to the middle of St. Nicholas, there’s a small dog park where local dogs come to play and meet each other. I've had so many enjoyable experiences in this dog park with owners and canines alike! Your dog can expect four-five walks a day, or a run if they prefer. Once we are home from one of our walks, we’ll have a treat and belly rub or a cuddle and meal. Whatever your pup needs, I’ll provide. I’m also a huge fan of getting pups socialized, so with your permission, we’ll be sure to find new friends all throughout the city. I am very responsible when it comes to monitoring the environment of every interaction, so no matter what, your dog will be supervised and safe. Your pet's safety is what is most important to me and I will only do activities that they are most comfortable with.

I'm currently working from home so I can dedicate much of my time to caring for your pet's needs and attention. Spending time out doors is an essential part of my day and am so happy to bring furry friends along with me—whether it be a park or a trail.
