Pet care experience
I am a wife and mother of 3 beautiful children and 13 four legged kids. 8 dogs & 5 cats. Since childhood I've always loved animals. I volunteer and work with local rescues in Middletown NY & understand each dog is an individual. They are all unique in their own way. I've successfully placed hundreds of animals into loving homes. My goal is to be rid of the white collar world so I can devote myself to helping families keep their loving pets. Today's society lives primarily in the fast lane, often pet owners are very busy and struggle with juggling life & providing for their families, leaving little time to do what they need for their pets. But our pets are family! I want to contribute my love and compassion for our furried loved ones by helping families provide a healthy & happy living environment. I will give your pet the attention, exercise & companionship it needs in your absence. Your furkids are my furkids! References are available upon request. I look forward to meeting you & your wonderful pets. I have known Dorothy (Dottsie) for almost a decade and she is best described as a purist when it comes to animal welfare and care. From her own pet companions who idolize and respect her, to so many, many other animals that have come into her life and for whom she has cared for and tirelessly advocated to find them a good home, she is honest, patient and most importantly very smart. She is meant to be a dog (and any animal, in that case) caregiver. I have trusted her with the care of my 4 pet companions on numerous occasions and am blessed to know her. My dogs all love her and come to her so naturally, and as any animal lover knows, dogs can't pretend.

Before taking on a new client I like to personally introduce myself to make sure the dog & it's human's are comfortable with me. No pet should ever be left in the care of someone they don't know or like. Pets come in all shapes and sizes. I love them all!! Meeting you and your pet will help me best determine what your needs are so we can all have an excellent experience!
A typical day
I want the animal to be as comfortable with me as they are their owner. I have no problem laying on the floor for cuddles and play. Taking long walks or running in the yard. If your pet is allowed on the furniture, I welcome that too. I love building bonds with animals, especially dogs. Teaching them essential commands like sit, stay, lay down and playing fetch. Anytime away from their owner should be fun and comfortable for them to minimize stress and anxiety levels.
