Responsible, Dog Lover

Pet care experience

I only rescue. My mom always had small dogs but I love Big dogs I have had 3 Greyhound's and my newest rescue is a 90 lb Staffordshire Terrier that had many issues when coming to me (foster failure LOL!) I spent a year 2x a week taking her to training well worth it she has turned out to be a lovely dog. Every dogs life matters and they deserve a second chance. I believe in taking great care of our pets they are family and deserve to be treated as such. My girl gets a massage once month I can hook your pet up too! Oh and love cats to had cats while growing up. Can't have one now because of our newest rescue.

Dorothy went above and beyond for our two dogs, frequent updates, great communication, and very patient. Highly recommend especially if you have a dog that requires a little more TLC. We will definitely Use her again!

Dorothy is a very caring pet sitter. Our Shelby is a 12 year old, timid dog. We have trouble leaving her in the past because she won't go outside for anyone, even family. Dorothy brought treats to the meet and greet and sat down on the floor to offer them to her just to make Shelby feel more comfortable. The day we scheduled Dorothy for a day visit, she was able to get Shelby to go outside. Dorothy is amazing.

Dorothy embodies everything you could want in a dog/house sitter. She's fantastic! I have 4 dogs which is a lot - even if they are each just 8 pound chihuahuas. Dorothy initiated 2 pre-visits - one to meet the dogs (she brought cookies!), and a 2nd visit to see the pups again and to ask questions. She wanted to be sure the pups had their normal routine and food, and that she had emergency numbers and vet name/address. She was happy to give them their herbal & oil supplements, and chose to sleep downstairs on the couch with the dogs rather than upstairs in the no dog guest room. I told her the dogs are fine for 12 hours while I'm at work so she needn't come by mid-day, but Dorothy chose to stop by anyway. She sent me pics of the pups several times while I was away, and left me a nice note and a clean house (put away dishes and swept!). Dorothy has a big heart and is passionate about the care she gives to fur babies, including her own sweet rescue girl. Over the past 10 years I have had many dog/house sitters including family, friends, and other folks through online services, and I have never had such comprehensive care and love given to my puppies. Dorothy knows what she's doing, she does it well, and she loves it. I highly recommend her and will definitely have her back when my travel plans take me out of town again!
