Furry, scaled, hoofed- I can do all
Pet care experience
Serving Estes Park only at this time. COVID note: due to me being a house cleaner for high risk clients I will only accept pet sitting requests from vaccinated households. This does not included gigs where I walk dogs- only situations where I am staying over in a house. Thanks for understanding! I’ve cared for horses in the camp environment for a couple years. I was raised with cats and dogs, and have owned reptiles so I’m comfortable with any menagerie you may have. I will not be able to host animals in my home (I live in a tiny cabin with a cat who doesn’t like furry guests). I can however utilize nearby dog parks and walking areas.
Reviews
Dot was great!! She played and slept with our dogs, took them to the dog park everyday, was patient with our rambunctious puppy, stayed in great communication (including pictures) and even cleaned the house before she left. We will definitely use Dot again!
Dorothy did a phenomenal job with my almost 10 year old puppy. She walked him, played with him, and sent photos and videos of him having fun. Highly recommend her and would definitely use her again!!
Dot is an outstanding, amazing, fantastic pet sitter. We have three dogs and two cats, one cat is diabetic and requires insulin shots twice a day. Our pups are a 13 1/2 year old Border Collie , 7 year old Australian Kelpie, and a 130 pound Great Pyrenees protector. She also kept 100+ hummingbirds fed and coming back for more. We were in Europe for almost three weeks, and Dot kept our menagerie happy, healthy, and contented. She kept us up to date on how everyone was doing with regular photos of their smiling faces. When we returned the kids were great, the house was clean and in order, and we had been well and truly blessed knowing we had been in great hands. We look forward to working with Dot in the future and can't give her enough praise.
Dot is great!

Safety, trust & environment
During the meet and greet before the sitting I like to collect as must information about the pet(s) rhythms, routines, safety procedures (fears, phobias, comfort items, and emergency protocols), bad behaviors I want to help curb, and house hold items the client would like me to take care of (plant care, checking mail, bird feeders, etc). I treat the home as if it was my own, and I want the client to trust that when they return the house will be in as good or better condition than when they left. I treat any pet as if it was my own pet and I like to send daily updates and/or pictures/video so you can trust that your pet is having a great time!
Information Dorothy Dot S. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know... 1- does your dog have any past injuries that would prevent them from walking a certain distance, or would mean I cannot let them on the ear or back? I want to make sure I don’t accidentally irritate an injury or Illness. 2- any pet peeves you are wanting to alter? Do they jump on people, chew on items they aren’t supposed to, beg, etc. I want to help encourage what you are training in your home. 3- how are they around other dogs, people, or strange environments? I want to make sure we avoid unnecessary stresses.
A typical day
Walks are always a great go-to activity and Estes is full of amazing places to explore! Does your dog love the dog park? We can totally go! Does your dog enjoy endless games of fetch? We will have a great time!

Availability
When I am pet sitting for your pet, know that I am focused on your animal(s) before and after work. I work about 8 hours a day as a manager of a cleaning company but can wear your animals out before heading to work (can do 3-4 mile walks, fetch, whatever gets your animals' cardiac rhythm workin'). I tend to wake up early (around 6am) so I can make sure your pets start the day on the right foot! I am unable to come back to the house during my lunch hour due to management responsibilities I have. If your animal is able to have access to a potty area when a human isn’t there, or a neighbor is able to let them out, or if they can go 8 hours in between potty breaks then I can work with the animal(s) schedule. For Sundays and Mondays (for the most part) I am typically available any time of the day for walks and check ins.
