LET'S BOND AND HAVE FUN TOGETHER!
Pet care experience
I had my first dog for 18 years then my second dog for 10 years (both from shelters). Once the second dog passed away, we decided not to get another dog, so I joined a dog walking business in July 2019 to satisfy my "dog fix" since I love dogs of all kinds. I worked 3-4 days a week doing private walks (large, medium, and small dogs) and leading pack walks for 3-6 dogs in the pack (all small/medium)...until COVID hit in March 2020. I got back to work with dog walking in September 2020 doing private and pack walks four days a week. Since April 2021, I have been walking dogs five days a week. These all have been regular customers on a weekly schedule. In short, I have plenty of experience walking dogs and, after 30+ years of working in a professional office environment, I can deal with any situation in a calm and professional manner. I also have experience going into people's homes to pick up dogs, and returning them safely, as well as experience with doggie diapers, crating them when required, and senior dogs (including deaf/blind dogs). I love dogs and think this is the perfect way to enjoy them while helping clients at the same time. It is a win-win for everyone! For more than 30 years, I was successful working in a professional office environment. I am now out of the day-to-day work world and into semi-retirement. Doing dog walking part-time is perfect for me. I can be available any day of the week but prefer daytime hours. I do not currently own a pet myself. In the dog walking business that I work for currently (which will end in mid-July), I am responsible for picking up each dog from their homes, sometimes using a lockbox, other times I have been given a key, one is retrieved from the backyard, and sometimes the owners are home.
Reviews
Dori was great with my very hyper goldendoodle! She was on time and sent updates including photos and videos.
Dori and I have known each other literally, forever! She has always had an incredible work ethic and amazing integrity. She is a lifelong dog lover and has really enjoyed her transition from the corporate world to dog walker. You can truly trust her to take care of your dogs as if they were her own.
Dori is a super friendly dog walker. She's been walking my dog for about a year now, and my Princess Leia loves her! Dori is very dependable, kind, has wonderful patience, and she has a big heart for all dogs. I definitely recommend her for your dog walking needs.
Dori is very responsible and trustworthy. She has walked my dog Jake on several occasions and I never worried about her not being attentive to his walking routine (must stop & sniff many times along the way). I highly recommend Dori as she has a lot of experience walking and caring for many breeds of dogs.

Information Dori S. would like to know about your pet
I'd love to know how well they are leash trained and how they do when in the presence of other dogs. If they are aggressive with newcomers, I'd like to know that before coming into your home, just so I know what to expect.
A typical day
Depending on where you live, I love taking dogs through parks and on trails. If only your neighborhood is available, of course that will work too. But I really love taking dogs on trails and to the park. I always let them sniff a lot in the beginning so they get their bearings (and, of course, do their business), then after that we will take a brisk walk so we both get good exercise!
