Pet care experience
Hi! I have had animals all my life. Currently down to 1 dog (a chihuahua mix), 3 cats and 6 chickens. I am recently retired and would love the opportunity to come to your home and care for and love your animals. Because I am recently retired, I have lots of time to spend with your pets. My cats will not be really enthusiastic about visiting dogs, so my choice is to house sit for your animals. I will provide lots of love and attention as I understand how important those fur babies are to you. Due to my cats feelings of home ownership, I cannot pet sit in my home, but I would be thrilled to care for your pets in your home.

Doreen was great. We have one older dog on medication and a two year old, very active, doberman mix who is a rescue. She was up to the task on both dogs and kept us informed through the week. What a relief to leave them in good hands.
For as long as I have known her, Doreen has always had at least one animal. She currently has cats, a dog and multiple chickens. She is an animal lover. She is dependable and punctual and will quickly bond with any animal.

When possible, I would like to bring Rex (my dog). I would like to know if that is ok with the pet (and I suppose, its owners). What does the pet like to do? What does it hate? Essentially, as a retiree, I can very much cater to the pet.
A typical day
I will take the dog(s) anywhere its owners are comfortable with. I love to hike in the foothills or just walk on the greenbelt or even just around the block. I speak moderate Spanish if the pet is interested in learning a second language, like to read and do crafts (often with my cats help, so I am used to having pets involved in all aspects of my life!)
