I have always had a dog in my life. From family dog to Grandparents dogs to friends dogs. My Grandmother on my Mother’s side took in stray animals her whole life. I believe this is where I developed my love for animals. My last dog passed just over a year. The last 5 years she was sick with pancreatitis and protein losing enteropathy. I gave up everything to keep her healthy and well until she had a stroke which took her life. I love animals, especially dogs. Dogs make me smile. When I see a dog I immediately want to pet them. Having a dog in your life is the best therapy any person can have. I have no tolerance for animal abuse. The on going joke in my family is if I ever need bail money it will because I saw someone abusing an animal. Dogs teach US how to love unconditionally. FYI.....My apartment complex has a fenced in area for dogs. Trails & walking paths. The dog park is just down the road from me.
