We are retired and can be available to dogsit in your home most days. We can exercise your dog with daily walks, go to a local dog park for play, play fetch at home, or whatever makes your dog happy. About this sitter: If you want your dog(s) to stay at home while you are away, we will provide the same conscientious services in your home as we do in ours! This includes either daycare, which consists of two (2) thirty (30) minute visits per day ( one am & one pm), or overnight care. We will walk your dog, clean up after the dog, feed, and give any prescribed medications. We can also play with your dog according to what he likes to do - fetch, swim, etc., and we can take care of light duties such as watering plants and getting the mail, per your instructions. In addition to caring for my own dogs and providing in-home dog sitting services for friend's dogs for many years, we've fostered about 20 dogs for days, weeks, or months, depending on the need. Our long-term fostering has been primarily through volunteering with a wonderful lab rescue group. Why I love dog sitting I've been a dog lover for 30 years, and 'owned' dogs most of those years. For the last 4+ years I've rescued Labrador Retrievers and I foster, transport, and check homes of potential adopters. This experience has given me a much greater insight into dog needs and behaviors. Meet my pets We have one cat, Whitney, a 12 yr old gray tabby. She's been around dogs for a long time, and 3 dogs that are lab mixes. About my yard The backyard is pie-shaped, as the house is at the end of a cul-de-sac. There is a block wall 5.5 ft high all around the backyard with a secure iron gate. There is a grassy area, a paver patio with a slatted aluma-wood shade cover, and an open area with a large shade tree. These 3 sections of the yard are open to all dogs, but can be divided into separate areas (approx 60'x 20' each), if needed, with chainlink fence.
