Pet care experience
Hi, I’m a professional dog trainer by trade with forty years experience. My training methods are always very gentle and balanced. I work from home in the La Quinta/Indio area. When you board your dog(s) with me they will always be loved and cared for, and will live and sleep indoors. While you are away I can send photos and videos. We take walks in the mornings. I only keep a couple of friendly dogs at a time. You are also welcome to stop by and inspect my home (bring your dogs so they can also check it out!). I can also pick up and deliver (limited range) at your schedule. Board your dogs with us over the holidays, or anytime knowing they will be safe and happy.

This is my first time with Rover. Don was phenomenal with our two dogs and his communication. Everyday I received pictures and an update from Don. The boys were always smiling or chilling exactly like home. I would highly recommend Don to anyone! Our boys both gave Don a big kiss when we were leaving! That said it all!
Don’s reviews are all excellent and I don’t doubt he is a great sitter. However, if you have a dog with health issues you might want to reconsider. I printed out a detailed sheet with feeding and medicine times. I sent it to Don prior to the visit for his review. Our dog gets meds twice a day and Don neglected to feed her her evening meds every day she was there. We also specifically informed him that our male dog was to wear a gentle leader at all times when walking on a leash. When we picked them up our boy dashed to me and had no gentle leader on. He is never clipped to the collar because of a trachea issue. While the dogs looked happy, meds and protocols should be followed when given express direction.
Don is absolutely wonderful! We got so manny updates while we were away and were sent photos throughout our time away putting us at ease that our girl was well taken care of and happy. If you’re looking for someone who is professional, knowledgeable about dogs, and friendly don’t look any future! Don’s expertise in dog training was so helpful especially when he gave us tips on what tools we might need to be able to have easier walks with our dog. Highly recommend!
