I am self-employed and run my own business from home in Alexandria VA (Rosemont). We used to have basset hounds, but they've since passed on. I have a single-family house rigged for dogs with a fenced in back yard, a doggie door, and 2 crates available as well, (if needed). I have taken care of friends & neighbor's dogs for 10 years now and wish to do this on a more steady basis. My wife and I are at home all day, the kid has moved out, and we have but one cat which we took in 2 yrs ago who sleeps all day upstairs and goes out all night. I have a car, so distance is not an issue for walks or drop-ins. We live in a quiet neighborhood with nice dog-walk routes, including a path along a creek and path through the woods in a nearby cemetery which allows dogs. There is also an enclosed dog park located nearby as well, where we used to take our own dogs. We've lived in our house since 1999 and owned our business since 2005, so we are long-term people able to provide long-term relationships. We are mature, responsible, and reliable.
