My services are centered around the concept of delivering personalized, effective pet care-taking services, which are uniquely crafted to fit the needs of your furry companion(s), and leave them happy, enriched, and well-cared for! With multiple years of experience in both the animal sheltering and private pet care-taking fields, I utilize a confident background in working with animals of all ranges of medical and behavioral issues, with a deeply-rooted history of positive results. So, before services begin, what is the first step?... We start by creating a custom-tailored plan for your furry family member's care! This plan will be centered around their needs, behaviorally, medically, and emotionally! Behaviorally, I am ready to work with any and all issues. I strongly support the use of the following, and have most sizes and variations of equipment available: + Non-slip collars (e.g. Martingales; I prefer not to use prong collars, but I am open to their utility if that is what you prefer) + Sensation Harnesses (front-clipping) + Gentle Leaders These are all excellent tools for managing and/or rehabilitating some of the more common, undesirable walking-behaviors, such as dog reactivity (barrier/leash/generalized), prey-drive, arousal control/impulsivity, pulling, etc. My canine training history is rooted in positive reinforcement-based training procedures. I am open to enforcing as little or as many training boundaries as you prefer; it is up to you! Medically, I am experienced in delivering SQ & IM injections, with partial experience in IV. Additional capabilities: Topical, ocular, aural, and oral medication administration. I haven't forgotten the felines! I'm known for quickly becoming a cat's best friend, and I have an extremely strong background in feline care-taking; I very openly welcome the opportunity to care-take for and/or behaviorally work with your beloved kitty! Having been the primary facilitator of 1000+ adoptions as an adoption counselor, as well as an educator on a multitude of pet-care topics, I have grown a passion for communicating with people about their pets, and helping to further cultivate the human-animal bond. Domenic is an absolute professional and truly cares for animals. We wholeheartedly trust him with our pup, Theo. Theo doesn’t get along with other dogs and can be pretty reactive on walks, but Domenic always knows how to keep him on track and calm. It’s like magic. Our neighbors have even commented saying they’ve never seen Theo behave so well! Knowing that our dog is with Domenic when we’re away always puts our mind at ease and that sense of security is worth every penny!

Domenic is THE BEST. I am so lucky to have found him. I have a "difficult" chihuahua and an older cat with health issues, and I tried a lot of other individual pet sitters and services before finding Domenic. For the past few years now he has provided first-rate overnight care whenever I go out of town, as well as periodic daily check-ins and dog walks, when needed. My furry kids adore him, and he feels like one of the family! Domenic is that rare find... an excellent trained dependable pet care professional who also really connects with and cares for the animals he looks after.

First off, before any services take place, we will set up a 'Meet & Greet', whereas your pet(s) will interview me and let you know if I make the cut. From there we will chat further about how I can be of the best possible service to you both! I want to know all about your little canine, feline, etc. buddy: behavioral and/or medical requirements, their personality, walking/play style, and all of their other wonderful nuances! I have no restrictions - I work with animals of all breeds, sizes, ages, and energy levels!
A typical day
Walks typically take place around your local neighborhood, unless you would like me to take them out on a hike or park excursion! Whether I'm stopping by for a basic walk, sitting for a few hours in the middle of the day, or on an extended stay while you're out of town, I believe in keeping solid communication with my clients, and give very frequent updates.
