Djuna has been a family friend for many years, and a friend to my dog, Sadie who is ten years old. Djuna has watched Sadie for me for weeks at a time over the years. She genuinely loves animals, and is very responsible for their care. Sadie is a high energy dog who could be very demanding, especially when she was younger. Djuna always took her on lots of walks and played with her to keep her happy. I also have 3 cats and I feel completely confident that Djuna is someone who can enter my house when I’m not there without letting the cats out. Djuna has always cared for the animals in our home, from a young girl into adulthood. Our two dogs, Seldom and Oxa, were well loved through the years of her growing up. Even when there were more pressing things in a child’s life, Djuna took the time to walk them, feed them, and vigorously pet them. On occasion, other dogs would come visit our welcoming home when their owner’s had to go out of town. Djuna naturally took responsibility for the guests, meeting their needs, whether nervous and excitable puppies or feeble and accident prone old dogs. I highly recommend Djuna as a timely, responsible, capable, and loving dog care-giver, based on experiences watching her interact with dogs of family and friends over the years.
