Diego's Doge Rose Daycare!

Pet care experience

Hello my name is Diego and I worked at a popular Oakland Doggy Daycare, Bording and Training facility for 2 years as a Staff training manager, boarding assist, early version of their current adventure walk's (it essentially consists of an engaged 2 hour walk throughout a scenic route; Redwood Regional, Berkeley Marina, Tilden etc) and most importantly a dog handler in a group setting which was structured as such: LHT (Little Hound Town): Smaller dogs and puppies would go into this group which would have me facilitate and care for anywhere between 25 - 60 dogs on any given day. MHT (Middle Hound Town): This group was created with the intention of having the most energetic and high energy play oriented dogs together as they have the ability to tire themselves out by energy matching at any point in the day. This was for advanced handlers and a group that refined my skills as a dog observer and lover as it demonstrated nuances in their play which required a combination of presence and mutual understanding of these more "high energy" dogs. This group would cap out at 30 dogs with one advanced handler. BHT (Big Hound Town): The middle to large size dogs go into this playgroup and it required a great deal of vigilance and stamina. Constantly observing and managing good and safe play while keeping he premise clean of any waste and constantly changing out the water buckets for guaranteed freshness. It was a highly valuable working experience that allowed me to fluidly translate and communicate an action to any given dog and slowly but surely have a group of 65 - 80 dogs listening to the most basic of commands.

Diego was fantastic from start to finish. He was clear in our communications when we we scheduled the meet and greet, prepped Bert and I well for the stay, answered my questions, and sent pictures and an update while Bert was in his care. When I picked Bert up he was calm and happy and I could tell he felt at ease in Diego's home. Although it was a short stay, I plan on using Diego in the future as he has a great way with animals, is centered around them and really understands the social workings of dogs. His intuitive care felt like a great fit for my pup and I am glad to have connected with him.

Diego is an amazing and knowledgeable dog sister. He took care of my sweet Luna with her quirks and all. Got thoughtful updates through out her stay along with photos and videos. So sweet! We will definitely be using him again in the future. It was scary to leave her with a stranger but he put our mind at ease.

Diego is incredibly skill when it comes to take care and entertain the family pets and any other he cross path with. Pets are family for him and for me. Not doubts he would excel in any task related to nurture and share precious moments with your doggies.
