Pet care experience
I've been a pet owner my entire life. From the time I was a kid I've had dogs, cats, horses, fish, or some combination of those, in my home. I'm retired now. I have a golden retriever, and an abiding interest in caring for your pet when you cannot. So I started my company, The Pup Tent, to pamper your pets while you're away. I have a wide ranging skill set. I am comfortable with: special needs pets, medications and injections, pet CPR, aggressive dogs, giant breeds, and senior pets. Dianne did a wonderful job caring for my three cats while I was out of town for a week and a half. Litter boxes were scooped, they were fed, and I received daily photos of them. Eventually, all three cats came out to say hi, even my little stranger-danger girl. I would definitely use her again.
Dianne is always reliable and professional, even when her schedule has unexpected changes. We’re are so grateful to be able to count on her to keep an eye on our cats while we’re gone.

Upon arrival to your home I attend to the nuts and bolts needs first. Feeding, watering, potty time or scooping litter. Then I get eyes on every pet in my care at every visit. The shy ones are a challenge that way, I often crawl around peering under furniture. Once that's done I can do the fun part; play with them.

For the health and safety of all the animals I care for, including my own, I do require your pet to be up to date on flea protection and all vaccines. Vet verification can be submitted via Rover, directly to me via email (contact me for my business email) or in person during a meet and greet. Thanks!
A typical day
I play with your pets at their level of interest and activity for as much time as the visit allows. You may choose a standard 30 minute visit or an extended 60 minute visit if your pet needs more activity.

Availability
I'm retired now and have plenty of time to play with your pets at their level of activity. Each visit consists of a little time doing the "chores", feeding , watering, etc. The rest of the time I spend playing or interacting with them.
