Passionate, Reliable Dog Lover

Pet care experience

I can’t imagine anything better than being around and playing with pups! I’ve been professionally dog sitting for several years for a handful of clients who have now moved out of state, and am very excited to take care of some new pooches. I have one pup of my own, Wynn, who is very friendly and loves to be around new friends. I love caring for people and animals. I have been a nurse for over a decade, so I have excellent assessment skills and know what might need medical attention. I have administered oral and subcutaneous medication and wound care to pups, and of course feel comfortable taking care of dogs with any sort of special needs. I live with my boyfriend, Eric, who assists me with sitting duties. We both work full- time, Monday through Friday, but can occasionally work some of our hours from home and can come home over lunch. No matter what, your pup will have plenty of attention and will be in great hands! Making sure that both owners and pups are taken care of is my number one priority. For owners, I always like to get as much information before a stay in order to make the transition as comfortable as possible. During a stay, I’ll provide daily updates on how your pup is doing, with pictures. I know that every pup is different, so I’m happy to meet them at their speed and plan a stay around their needs. Pets are welcome anywhere in our home. We live in a great neighborhood, Hy-View, which is very private and safe. There’s almost no street traffic, making it very dog-friendly as well. We have a doggy door that leads directly into the backyard, so your pup is free to come and go as they please. Please note that we do have a pool that is not fenced, but we can always close off the doggy door if that makes you more comfortable. Our backyard has a grassed area that’s perfect for lounging around in the sun! There’s also a canal with a walking path directly behind our house. Update July 2019: We recently rescued another puppy. Her name is Lucky.🍀 She’s 4 months old and we think she is a cattle dog mix. She is very sweet and playful! She gets along great with kids and other dogs! ❤️

Diane was amazing with our two dogs! She sent so many pictures which was extremely comforting while being away from them. I definitely will use her for our next trip away!

Best sitter in Phoenix! Kept my dogs with her and her husband multiple times and I never had a second of doubt that my dogs weren’t having the best time away from home. So many frequent updates and pictures. My dogs truly enjoyed staying here

Information Diane S. would like to know about your pet

Some things I like to learn ahead of time: Would you like to schedule a meet-and-greet before the stay? Does your pup have any health issues that need to be tended to? For instance, dietary restrictions, medicine, or behavior triggers? Does your pup like to stick to a given schedule, like regular walks in the morning and evening? What does your pup do well around? What does your pup try to avoid? What’s the best way to spoil your pup?

A typical day

I know that most pups love to get as much exercise as possible, so we’ll try to get outdoors as frequently as possible. I like to stay active and go for daily walks, and there’s a walking trail behind our house that’s perfect for exploration. There is a lovely dog park nearby that we visit all the time, so that’s an option if your pup would like to socialize. If you’d prefer that we stay local, we can always play in the backyard with some toys or cuddle up on the couch. During basketball season, my boyfriend and I are huge Jayhawk fans, so we’d love a new companion to accompany us while we cheer them on!
