The Best Things in Life are Furry
Pet care experience
I’ve had dogs and cats most of my life and have cared for many of my friends’ pets too. It's been so fun meeting new four legged friends and their humans through Rover! Being outside walking, hiking or trail running are some of my most favorite things to do and cuddling is right up there too for pets who like snuggles! I love having more pet companions for anything from mellow walks to long hikes to hanging out around the house. I’ll care for your pet the way I would want mine cared for - with love and their individual needs and personalities in mind. I’m happy to follow any training guidelines you have for your pets. I’ve used two different methods in the past with my own dogs and know that consistency and attention are key. I have a sweet lab mix who is very playful and loves to socialize and play with other dogs! He's never had a problem with another dog or cat. We have a friend with a very small miniature poodle who he's been great with as well as other small dogs we often see out on the trail and he'll hold his own with bigger dogs too. He finds his in place in the pack quickly and his willing to be in the lead or more submissive, depending on the other dogs there. * Please note: My pick-up/drop-off and drop-in times are between 8 AM to 10 PM. *If you live more than 5 miles from me and would like me to come there for drop-in visits or to walk your dog, there is an extra charge to cover travel time/costs. * For housesitting, I do have my dog with me and sometimes have my partner and/or teenage daughter stay with me. You are welcome to meet them as well - they are both huge dog lovers and very respectful of other houses.

Dogs are a part of my daily activities as I work from home and also when I get out for walks, runs and hikes. My dog Leo also will play if other dogs want to! For drop-ins and walks I can bring him or leave him home, depending on what is best for your pet(s).
Information Diane O. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know any thing you would like to share about your pet! * Feeding, special care, training needs, exercise desired etc. * For dogs: Do they need to be on leash out on trails? How far do they go away when off leash? Do they come back easily when called? *How do they get along with other dogs? *How much do they bark?
A typical day
Near the pet’s home, at the local dog park, by the river, in my neighborhood during dog sitting, including a nearby ditch and other trails if you would like your dog to be able to run off leash.

Availability
I often work from home. I do have regular in-person meetings Mon-Thurs that last between 2-8 hours, so my doggies need to be all right being left at home for some periods of time (They have my dog Leo as a buddy!) I will always let you know before we book your pets’ stay what my schedule will be if I have meetings or travel. The dogs I care for very much become a part of our pack and are woven into our daily activities. We love to interact with the dogs often as we go about our days!
