Diane is an excellent, reliable and attentive dog sitter. For the first time, our dog "Rio" is actually happy to see us leave! Somehow Diane manages to get the best photos of our not-so-photogenic dog, which we always look forward to seeing while we are away. "Auntie Diane" (as she is known to Rio) is a former dog owner herself and is very knowledgeable in all things dog, including dog behavior, socializing, feeding and walking. She is attentive to any instructions that we leave for her regarding medications, what our dog can or cannot have and her anxiety around motorcycles and aggressive dogs. She also respects our home (which she stays in with Rio), leaving it in the same condition as we left it. We know that when we go out of town, Rio is in good hands and that Diane being so involved with dog organizations & education, we know she has the resources & knowledge in the event an emergency should arise. Fortunately, we have never had a problem or an emergency, just lots of great photos and puppy smiles to come home to. As a bonus, Diane is in the know about all the dog-friendly places in Santa Barbara and the surrounding areas. So if your dog is social, they are in for a real treat! But if they are not, that's ok too. Diane knows how to respect the boundaries and limitations of each dog. And that is a must for any dog sitter.
