Pet care experience
I’m a retired teacher and am able to keep a flexible schedule. I welcome the opportunity to take care of your dog as I’m healthy & active! I have owned many dogs in the past, and I’ve recently adopted a chocolate lab. She is really sweet. June gets along well with other dogs, and children. I have several returning Rover clients. I live in a nice/safe neighborhood and have reliable transportation. I have a large fenced in area off the back of my house (deck and grass). I live close to the Pisgah Nat Forest. If your dog likes to hike in the woods, I’d be willing to take him/her. I have a pet hammock for the backseat of my car. Would love some doggie time! UPDATE; June is healthy and ready for company, but needs to meet your dog before confirming your booking.

I was a little anxious about leaving my 7-year-old dog with a non-family member for the first time in his life - and for six days at that - but Diane is great and made me feel at ease with it all. She's a retired school teacher and administrator with a big fenced yard in a very quiet neighborhood, and she kept me posted with regular communications over the six days. My dog had a great time with Diane and June (her dog), and I will DEFINITELY book Diane for future out-of-town trips whenever she's available. I could not imagine a better dog-sitter.

Diane H. Is extremely professional. She has a great attitude, and her house and yard are extremely accommodating. She was able to communicate with us via text while our pup was boarded, and had everything ready when we returned. No hiccups, and we will diffinitely book again when the need arises.
Our boy Sawyer had a great time at Diane's place! He came back happy and was clearly well taken care of. Would definitely recommend!

I have a large fenced in backyard that can accommodate ball play and daily fun outside play. I have a nice sun porch and decks that dogs love! I also enjoy walking and hiking if your fur baby likes that as well.

Let me know if your dog has any special needed meds or quirks. Many dogs get emotional a day or so after their human leaves and I try to be super aware that they are sensitive and miss their humans .
A typical day
I have a ball thrower and a chunk it type ball so that we can play fetch in my large enclosed backyard. Also a few leash walks are good too!
