I am a pet-a-holic! Don't board your pet (s) with strangers, who probably will not have time to give them the tender loving care and attention they need while you are away. Pets suffer from separation anxiety when their owners are not around. They can become depressed and become physically ill. I will make sure this never happens to your animal children! I will be their step-parent in your absence. Just provide me with a tee shirt, or other item belonging to you. This will soothe them and I will take care of the rest! I have had pets all of my life, starting with a "ducklette" at the age of 4....What in the heck were my parents thinking? When she became more of a duck, she was given to friends who had a beautiful pond in their back yard. I have always been the "go-to" person, when my friends and family were going to be away. I have adopted many animals, along the way and I have participated in "Share-A-Pet" programs in nursing homes and the Veterans' Administration Medical Centers, Some years ago, my father administered "mouth-to-snout" resuscitation and CPR to our dog, who had bitten into an electrical cord, under water of a dock in a lake. The dog was clinically dead, but was was revived. His recovery was slow, but he went on to live another 8 years with no lingering challenges. What I learned from that experience was that PETS ARE PEOPLE TOO, and no efforts should be spared to help them and heal them! -Amen. I will offer all the love and attention your pet(s) needs and wants. I care equally about your peace of mind as Mom and/or Dad! Mine is a pet-friendly environment! Your pet is absolutely allowed to lounge/sleep on the sofa, bed, or wherever he/she takes comfort, unless you specify that you discourage this behavior in your home. In that case, I will make sure your pet has a comfy space on the floor. My kitchen has vinyl flooring and I have a gate for times I may have to step out for a limited amount of time. All cleaning supplies and other potentially harmful items are securely stowed away
