Having over 25 years of pet care experience, including a time working in pet store livestock management (so the wide variety of animals pet stores tend to carry), I have plenty of experience to draw from. I love animals, and have had a wide variety throughout my life. My experience counted only encompasses my experience with my own animals, and does not take into account my younger years caring for family pets. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, small animals, birds, reptiles and amphibians. Currently my family includes three indoor cats and two large dogs, so all visitors must behave respectfully with the resident animals. When I cared for birds, they were specifically budgies, lovebirds, and cockatiels. I have limited experience with larger birds. I have tended to hot spots and abscesses, and infections. I have cared for animals post-surgery, and I have given oral, ocular and ear medications as well as administered insulin injections for animals. I have handfed baby lovebirds.
