I grew up on a farm in West Texas with the "farm dogs" being my first real companions. I attended U.T. in the 1970's. I never lost my love of dogs during college and have kept them ever since. After decades of experience with an array of different types of pooches I feel very qualified to see over your babe(s) with true confidence, compassion, and a sincere love of my responsibilities. I know how important they are to their dog parents because that is exactly how I feel about my little angel! I have one dog who is a short haired terrier named Pippa who is about three years old. I enjoy sitting dogs because we all get the refreshing company of other dogs. I have a fenced back yard with a covered patio and good overhead ceiling fan for hot weather days. The remainder of the yard is grassy with a stone walking trail around the house. My home sits on a corner lot with a greenbelt that runs across the back. I have one house beside me and these sweet neighbors do not keep a dog, so it is very secluded and peaceful. My dog loves to chase the squirrels that run along the top of the back fence. We have an excellent place to walk because there are no through streets in the neighborhood. My experience administering medication I have owned dogs that required oral meds. I also learned to give injectable medications to my niece's dog that suffered from diabetes. Because of my long history with dogs, I am familiar in reading the signs they give me for whatever they may be in need of. Throughout time I have come to realize they truly are our best friends. They are willing to offer you their unconditional love provided you are open to it. I am and appreciate the love and devotion they offer in return.
