Pet care experience
Dog sitting since 2014, on Rover since 2018, specializing in anxious and reactive dogs. As a dog sitter, I have had the great pleasure of working with a wide variety of dogs. This includes senior dogs, special needs dogs, anxious dogs, and reactive dogs. I have also enjoyed working with deaf and visually-impaired dogs, and dogs with amputations. Through working with dogs, I refined my abilities to be kind, calm, and observant while also encouraging fun and joy. These qualities have helped me most with reactive dogs and aggressive dogs. I found that working with these dogs is where I can do the most good. Having completed the Dog Trainer Foundations course at the Karen Pryor Academy, I am increasing my understanding of dog behavior and creating ways to effectively communicate with dogs.
Reviews
Diana is such a gem! She was so patient with my anxious dog and even taught him a few new tricks. I know that I can definitely depend on her!
Thank you for taking such great care of our senior pup and our home. We appreciate all your updates while we were away and flexibility for starting and ending the stay.
Diana took great care of our cats in our home while we were away for the holiday. We had just adopted a rescue about 2 months prior & he was scared when we first left, but by the end of her stay became a lap cat. Her experience & patience with cats calmed me so I could enjoy my trip. All was well. I would recommend Diana without any reservation.
Diana was amazing! She communicated with us everyday on how the dogs were doing! We would love to have her dog sit for us again!

Safety, trust & environment
I take the safety of your pet very seriously. I care for your pet according to your instructions. I am careful to keep "escape artists" inside when coming to or going from your residence. I allow dogs off leash only when they are strongly responsive to voice recall. I am mindful of our surroundings and potential issues in the home and when walking your pet.
Information Diana T. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know about your dog's or cat's temperament, eating and sleeping habits, exercise and play needs, what may trigger anxiety or reactivity, what helps them feel safe and secure, and any other pertinent information you may have. I especially encourage folks with pit bulls and other misunderstood breeds to contact me.
A typical day
*** DOG CARE *** I like to take dogs to nearby parks when possible. Fetch and tug make a fun playtime. We can If your dog likes cuddles, I'm down for that, too. Whatever your dog likes, I'm happy to provide. Training: I'm happy to support the training you have in place or are working on with your dog. I am happy to offer new ideas to further your training goals. I love enhancing the relationship between you and your pet through the positive rapport that is good training. *** CAT CARE *** I provide care according to individual cat needs. Whether your pet is a jungle kitty or a lap cat, I'm there for what your cat is looking for. Socialization: I'm especially good with pets who are reticent to relate to humans. I had two wonderful cats who I brought in from being a feral kitten to incredibly sweet house cats. I adopted one and one went to her very loving forever home. I understand and respect the process. *** NOTES *** While I make myself available on weekends, I am not usually available for pet sitting which requires my 100% presence on Friday or Saturday night. I can stay over on those nights. Parking: I will need either off-street parking, or on-street parking that is reliably available within one block of your home. If your neighborhood has time limits on parking for non-residents, I will need either an off-street parking spot or a temporary tag to park on the street for the days involved. With any service, I communicate with you, so you know that when you're away, your furry family is well cared for.
