Hi! I'm Diana and can't wait to walk, play, and sit your furr babies! I work as an artist M-Th and pet sit and walk Fr-Sun. My favorite things in the world are being around animals and walking so I'd say I'm in the right business. I most recently worked for a private pet sitting company walking for high clientele in NYC. I care for every pet as if they are my own and take pride in being their favorite sitter and walker ❤️ I am professionally trained in safety and can administer medication if needed. I love animals and love to take care of them. I’ll treat your pet just as well as I would like my pets to be treated. I fully understand the responsibility of pet sitting and hope to have the opportunity to care for your furrballs or hairless family members.

Diana is amazing with dogs, she certainly has a gift! From the moment she met Nymeria, they both fell in love. Nymeria has separation anxiety and doesn’t trust anyone else to walk her alone but as soon as Diana picked up the leash, she followed with barely a glance back. Nymeria is also a territorial dog inside my home and doesn’t trust strangers but Diana was able to calmly walk in and walk around with her till she was at ease. Left me speechless!! Not only does Nymeria ask her for some petting now but she would also happily choose to nap by her side. I highly recommend Diana!! She will amaze you at how she befriends your dogs. It’s very clear to me that she loves every dog she meets and they love her back!

In my home I make sure the kitchen is blocked, bathroom and closet doors stay closed, and wires are all tucked away. During walk I use a belt and leash for large dogs for extra protection and the two hand grip wrap while walking any dog. I advise clients against retractable leashes and can bring a spare classic leash if needed. I carry extra dog bags and a collapsible water bowl just in case. In the winter i avoid salted streets and heavy snow on long walks. In the home, I keep an eye on the pet at all times, make sure to have active play time inside and outside, and incorporate a learning period where we review basic commands. I love incorporating cuddle and pet times as well.

I like to know if a dog has any special needs or quirks ie trouble leash walking, doesn't play well with others, tends to lunge for street snacks, needs a break every x minutes, likes slow walks, etc. Also know if a dog pulls while walking is very helpful to know ahead of time!
A typical day
I love dog parks when available and bringing along a chuck-it to really get in the exercise. I like taking dogs to green areas to get their feet on some grass and to stimulate their noses with fresh smells. I'll also incorporate some light jogging to get our blood flowing!

I'm available weekdays after 5 and Friday-Sunday all day. Since starting a new job, I still try to make time for pet sitting and walking.
