Your pup’s home away from home 🏠🐕

Pet care experience

I’ve had dogs since I was in diapers! Well, until now. In November 2022 our sweet 13 year old cocker spaniel, Emma Lou, crossed Rainbow Bridge. 🌈 She was my best friend and the love of my life (don’t tell my husband!). Although I’m not ready to take on a new furry friend, I have a lot of care and love to give to yours! My home is childfree and currently animal-free. I work from home so don’t worry about your dog being left alone. I have experience dealing with the special needs of senior dogs and giving oral medications.

Diana is amazing with my dog! We have had her take care of our dog Biscuit over the years and she treats her like her own. She just has that connection with dogs and her love for them truly shows! She's the best and the only person we ever use!

I live in an apartment in downtown that is very pet-friendly. There is a four block loop that Emma Lou LOVED to walk that includes safe, grassy areas for going to the bathroom. Don’t worry, your buddy will definitely get their steps in! At night, we fall asleep in my king size bed, gazing into each others eyes…..

Information Diana C. would like to know about your pet

Please provide me with a list of any medications and the administration schedule as well as the preferred feeding schedule. Also, let me know if there’s anything that your dog gets anxious about (fireworks, other dogs/people, any part of their body they don’t like touched, etc).

A typical day

Morning: Your little beast and I will wake up in the spooning position. I’d prefer to be the little spoon but I’m willing to be flexible on that. We’ll take our first four block walk at around 8am. Then it’s breakfast time. From 9am-12pm I’ll be working from my couch while your critter snuggles beside me. Together, we’ll watch Animal Planet in the background as I jiggle the mouse to make it seem like I’m still online. I will require your dog to sign a NDA for they’ll know too much. At noon, I will challenge your love-mutt to a tug-of-war. I will try my very best to win but in the end I will realize that, once again, I am no match for your four-legged demon. We’ll have lunch, kiss and make up. At 2pm we’ll go on our mid day walk. I can’t wait to see your little furry terror harass the seagulls in the area. I don’t like them either. I’ll have your dog’s back if the birds talk smack back ?. After all, the mercy your pooch showed me in our tug-of-war match requires my undying loyalty. After our mid day walk I’ll need to jiggle the mouse some more. This time we’ll have Dog The Bounty Hunter playing in the background. Your dog picked it, who am I to say no?? 6pm is our evening walk. This walk is more chill. We’ll discuss current events and plans for the future. I’ll talk about what it was like growing up in Tennessee with no air conditioning, your dog will tell me about their time in Vietnam. Our bond continues to grow. From 6:30-10pm it’s cuddle time. No, the snuggling on the couch and spooning in the bed didn’t count. This is a separate cuddle session. 10pm is the final walk. If your pup hasn’t poop yet then this is the time I’ll start to bribe them with snacks. One poop = one snack. I learned that in college. But times have changed since then. Oh no, inflation. Since when did one poop = three snacks?!? This is going to financially ruin me!! *sigh* Alright, doggo, I guess I’ll never retire. After our walk, I’ll wash your pup’s feet one more time before we crawl into bed. Tomorrow, we do it again.

Your pup will get (4) four block walks (usually 8am, 2pm, 6pm, 10pm but let me know if they would prefer a different schedule) and if the weather is nice (and your pup is up for it) I’ll walk them to East End Beach for some fetch! I love playing tug and cuddling so hopefully they will, too!
