I have worked in veterinary medicine full or part-time for the better part of 16 years. It was a field I got into because I grew up with animals and over the years, fostered a love for all things furry (and sometimes feathered or scaled). While I'm no longer in the business full-time, I still look forward to spending as much time as possible with our four-legged friends. I pet-sit year round, and enjoy getting to know your furry family members. Most of my experience involves taking care of animals in a boarding environment or in their owners' homes, though I am looking to branch out a bit now that I will have a home of my own! I will have over an acre for your pet to exercise (which will hopefully be fenced in sooner than later), and live close to a park with paved trails that is dog-friendly. I am comfortable administering most medications, including Insulin. I'm also happy to text pictures and daily updates on your pet upon request. SPECIFICALLY FOR DROP-IN VISITS: I work in Durham M-F, so am unavailable between the hours of 7am and 6pm. As far as availability, that can vary depending on where my client and their pet(s) are located. I live in Oxford, NC - locally, I'm available for drop-ins early morning/after 5pm. I'm happy to petsit in the home anywhere within 45 miles of Oxford or Durham (since Durham is where I work during the week). I am willing to provide walks for pets in Durham, and anywhere along the I85 corridor between Henderson and Durham.
