Hi there pet parents! I have a home in oceanside located near Guajome Lake. My home has 1 acre of fenced in yard. I own 2 hens for organic eggs, but that is all I have. Besides the wild cottontails in my yard :) I have a 6 month old child and I have the privilege to be a stay at home mother. My husband is a Marine. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them." - Dalai Lama It has been my experience that animals are put into our lives for a purpose: to teach us lessons and help us become better people. I have cared for pets all my life. As a family we have nurtured everything from butterflies to snakes, to feathered friends and fur babies. We love all animals. Recently, our family dog passed and we have not made the transition to a new pet. I felt this would be a great transition, helping others, while giving our family the joy of wet noses and sloppy kisses. About me: I am currently attending a six week puppy socialization class with Contended Canine, where I am learning basic commands to teach your dog, guidance with behavior problems and building confidence. I have worked with pets challenged by emotional ailments with great sucess, as well as physical ailments using massage and Reiki. About my clients dogs: I have had all types of dogs around our family. Large, medium and small dogs. Each type of dog has a different personality and we as a family work around the dog to best suit his/her needs. Need lots of energy? My Marine Husband can provide it! Lol Prefer to have more quiet time, our family can respect that as well. My dog sitting style: My dog sitting style is consistent with your pet parenting style. I believe consistency is the best approach for a dog in a new environment. If the dog needs to be crated we work with that, as well as cuddles on the couch. If the dogs like it, I take two walks a day and love to take hikes to Buena vista park. If you suggest, I can also take them to the dog park for socialization.
