This was our first stay with Di and our experience with her has been great. She was easy to work with to set drop-off and pick-up times for Eva's stay. Di and her husband spent time with us at the meet-and-greet to get to know us and our dog. We felt comfortable having her care for Eva while we were away. We will use Di again in the future.

Our experience with Di was great! She was very attentive to our dog's needs and took wonderful care of her. She is a very knowledgeable and responsible caretaker. She provided great updates that allowed us to enjoy our vacation without worrying about how our pup was without us. We would absolutely trust Di to care for our dog again in the future. Wonderful experience!

Superior customer service fur all!

Delivering "peace of mind" when you leave 'em behind: outstanding care with an emphasis on superior customer service. After all, we're pet parents too! With three resident dogs and a CAT we're pleased to host one guest dog at a time for the best possible experience for all. We recently moved to Sarasota from NY and we love the laid-back life.
We're delighted to welcome a healthy, spayed/neutered, well-mannered (obedience trained) pooch to enjoy ...

What Di would like to know about your dog

We gladly host spayed/neutered dogs of any age in good health, sociable with other dogs (and non-reactive to cats) and comfortable with both men and women. Our preference is for dogs with good manners who understand basic commands and walk politely on-leash. We support crating if you use one, and have a large crate available. Our dogs do not sleep on the bed; small dogs may join us on the sofa. We conduct a profile at each Meet & Greet to better understand separation anxiety or other behavior issues like jumping, submissive urination or marking, along with how often the dog needs to go potty - and food or toy guarding tendencies. We will ask you if your pup guards food/toys, what makes him anxious or frightened, is he sensitive to touch anywhere and what are his favorite games.

About Di's Home

When Di watches your pet

Daily "pack" walks around our quiet, suburban neighborhood help keep pups relaxed and happy. A pool is available for pups who like a swim but only under supervision.

Unless you instruct us otherwise, your pup will sleep in our bedroom with our dogs and us.
Our goal is to replicate your dog's regular home environment and routine as much as possible. If your dog is crated at night in another room, we can accommodate him that way as well.

Because I am home-based, I get to spend a lot of time with your pup, and I stay close to any new pet for the first two days, making sure he/she is acclimating well and feeling comfortable and secure. I will not host if my schedule does not permit this extra attention and vigilance for the first few days, I feel i owe it to the dog and the pet parent. Once the dog is comfortable, I do leave to shop or go to Zumba class, but I do not leave dogs for long hours.

Time I'll spend with your dog
That's something we would need to discuss in advance. Some dogs are satisfied with a quick walk, a treat and then want to go nap. Others crave some play time after a walk. Some cats hide and don't really want to interact with a stranger, while others like some entertainment from this new human who has replaced (temporarily) the human they're used to. I have even cared for cats who like to supervise the tidying of their litter pans!

Extra house-sitting services
Yes, whatever I can do to be helpful and add value to my servicer.
