I have a 2 year old maltipoo named Nani and a 4 year old GS/husky named Keanu at home. My Nani is allergic to some food so I am very attentive to details to avoid mistakes and very patient when it comes to her picky eating. First thing I do in the morning is I let them both out, if they go #2 I like to wipe their behinds with wet wipes that are safe for them. I give them anal gland supplements after to prevent blockage or scooting. Once they are inside I wipe down their paws before they come in. Afterwards, I fill up Keanu’s bowl and Nani waits in the mud room. I trained her to not touch her brother bowl due to her dietary needs. Once I get her food ready she heads out to the kitchen and eats. Both of them are picky eater sometimes so I fill up their bowls around lunch again in case they are hungry but they usually don’t touch it until dinner time. If they were hungrier that day then I just refill it for dinner. I let them out in the morning, after lunch time, I try to walk them around 4, and then I let them out once again before bed. Keanu weighs 98 pounds and I am able to walk him with no trouble. I have walked and bathed larger dogs than him and feel confident enough to do it again. I bathe, deshed and trim both of my dogs on my own. I also trim their nails, and I clean their tear stains and wipe down the inside of their ears every night.
