Pet care experience
There are few people who love dogs, exercise and being outside more than me! I have loads of pup and house sitting experience, I will occasionally watch pets out of town but prefer to doggy daycare or have you drop your pup off for boarding. It is about 35 minutes to Mountain Village and 45 minutes to Telluride, so I will not pickup/drop off unless you’re willing to pay a substantial fee. I live in Rico and work remotely, but travel often so I cherish my time at home. I live in a very big house with my partner, we have a huge yard, and access to tons of trails. We have a 5 year old lab/healer mix who loves other dogs. While I love to walk/run active dogs, I equally enjoy older dogs that love to go for short walks, watch movies, and sit on the deck with me.

Devon, Was Amazing! She sent updates with pictures daily. She took Indie hiking 6 miles every day. I think Indie was sad to come home. Could not have asked for more!!

I’ll care for your pets however you see fit in your home if it works with my schedule. I prefer to host pets in my home. We have a huge house and a huge yard with lots of nearby trails. Our yard is 99% fenced, with an opening to our driveway in the woods on one side. If your dog is not obedient off leash, no problem I will either watch them closely or keep them on leash.

I like to know: - does your dog whine? I work from home on weekdays and if your dog requires constant attention, I cannot provide that. - if you prefer I stay at your home for multiple nights, will you allow my partner and/or dog to visit or stay (I will not do long stays if you do not feel comfortable with this) - if your animal/s get along with other dogs, people, and children
A typical day
Running, playing, throwing sticks, being outside, reading, etc. all dependent on dog’s age, abilities and interests! If your dog has special needs, I am competent and can learn how to administer or inject medication. I am very familiar with the trails, so I can hike, drive and explore with your pets. I am also happy to just keep them entertained in the house or back yard.

I have a job and travel often, so watching pets is part time for me. It’s very inconsistent, so please check my calendar. Occasionally, if you are able to pay extra I can help on days I’m marked unavailable.
