Pet care experience
Hi! I have grown up with dogs my whole life. I am used to large dogs (I grew up with labs), but recently spent 6 months living in Flagstaff, Arizona with family where I would take care of my aunt and uncle’s schnauzer mixes 😇💞 I enjoy taking dogs on long walks, either around the neighborhood or in nature— whichever you are comfortable with. I am very responsible and am comfortable giving scheduled medication, following different dietary requirements, and caring for dogs who may be inconsonant. I truly love all dogs and am very much missing my aunt & uncle’s back in Flagstaff, so even if you just need someone to come over and keep your pups active and loved during the day, I would love to!

We were lucky enough to have Devaney house and pet sit for us. She stayed at our home, cared for our two dogs, bearded dragon and fish. She walked our dogs daily and loved our pets as if they were her own. We have already hired her again to watch our home and pets during the summer. We highly recommend her for any of your pet/household needs.
Devaney is wonderful! She has cared for our dog (a large and energetic lab mix) on many occasions, and has house sat for us as well. She is trustworthy, reliable, and very responsive. And it should go without saying, but she loves dogs! 😊
Devaney has been caring for our 3 dogs for over a year. She is consistently caring, attentive and responsible. All 3 of our dogs have special personalities and she is very aware of each one and they love her for that. I would recommend Devaney for any of your doggie care needs!

I care for pets by asking a lot of questions and writing down specific instructions from the client. I will also be honest to ensure the safely of your pet and myself. For example, if you have a large dog that pulls when walked and you do not own a harness, I will set an honest boundary that I will not be able to take them on the leash, and will only be able to play with them at home/in the backyard.

I would like to know if the dog pulls excessively on the leash, has behavioral issues, is combative/violent with other dogs, and if they have any behaviors I should watch out for while in the house (e.g. going to the bathroom inside, chewing on something they shouldn’t, getting into a certain trash can etc.)
A typical day
I am a very active person, so my energy level often matches the dogs I am with. I enjoy playing fetch and taking long walks on trails or around neighborhoods. In terms of indoor activities, I like playing fetch (if you are comfortable with the ball being thrown in your home), hiding treats for them to find, and giving them the love and attention they deserve ?
