Pet care experience
I've had pets in my family for a long as I can remember. Mostly dogs and cats, and I grew up to have 3 dogs myself along with a bird and 6 fish tanks. We've even grown by adding chickens, ducks and turkeys to the family. I have a passion for caring for animals. I don't mind getting wet or dirty so giving a bath is no issue, and love to hike with my dogs so no issue adding a few more to the group hike. We have 2 acres of land with plenty of space to run and play if a hike doesn't tire them out. I've trained our 3 dogs basic tricks and commands and may be able to teach yours a few as well.

Detlev is honestly the best dog sitter there ever has been. He has the passion, and every dog absolutely loves him. Even if that dog doesn’t like anyone, it will love him. He’s is caring and Intentive to the dogs every need! So if you need a dog sitter or caregiver at all, this is the guy to go to! Absolutely will be using him again!

We have fenced in yard for running and playing and 3 of our dogs that would enjoy new friends to play with. I work in alamosa and live in antonito so I have the ability to stop anywhere in between to pick up dogs for walks/hikes. Also enjoy the lake and river for water fun if your pup enjoys that. We both love animals so attention will surely be given with plenty of toys to play with.

Let me know of any specific situations or things your dog my not like. Loud noises, long walks, not getting wet ect. I have one shy pup so I am used to taking it easy or waiting him to be comfortable. Anything information on giving your dog better care is always appreciated.
A typical day
We go on lots of walks and hikes and plenty of trips to the lake and river. With lots of room at home, their is lots of running and playing outside. Daisy loves fetch so that is always a must.

Availability
I work early shifts so I get home at a decent time to take of what animals we already have. Our dogs are crate trained but they behave well and roam the house, so the same would be asked of your pet. Or if they are fine with being outside we have the space for the as well.. my own pets keep me at home pretty often.
