Pet care experience
I have had Schultz my Chiweenie (Dachshund/Chihuahua mix) for 8 years now and had a rabbit, Snuggles for 5 years prior to that. I have taken care of and trained several friend and family pets throughout the years as well. I have also volunteered at a few animal shelters/Humane Society; in Meriden, Monroe, and Branford. I have also helped a couple of my friends adopt a cat and dog who are well loved! I have worked with overly stimulated pups and highly anxious ones and understand what they need and what type of care will work best. I am CPR and First Aid trained and aware that animal CPR is done very differently. I also know about what irritates dogs skins and common allergies with their appropriate remedies(I am a huge fan of coconut oil for calming redness down on the skin). No worries for Ticks and Fleas as well!

I have a large front and backyard with a full length runner! I absolutely love taking dogs for walks and jogs around my neighborhood and on the various Blue Blaze Trails here in CT including The Naugatuck State Forest, Oxford Reservoir, Black Rock State Park and Leathermans Cave in Thomaston. My family have lived in the same house for over 50 years with now my Grandfather on the 3rd floor, Father on the 2nd and my boyfriend and I on the first. We have 2 parks near by our house as well. My current dog loves other dogs but am able to separate if wanted and needed by owner. Ticks and Fleas are a no worry Zone and I always check dogs after walks and hikes!

I would like to know anything that may be important, i.e medical issues, allergies, arthritis, medications, etc. Also anything the dog likes and dislikes. If there is anything the owner will want me to watch out for I will.
A typical day
I will walk dogs per owners comfortableness i.e around neighborhood, parks, hiking on trails, dog parks. Will play ball or any type of game they enjoy outdoors or indoors. I have tennis balls or if the little friend has any of their favorites I will use them. I will only give treats if instructed "Ok" with the owner as well. I only give Natural labeled snacks.

Availability
I am a Realtor with Dave Jones Realty and work mainly from home and I also work part-time at a group Home with the GIL Foundation. It is slow in the winter months for Real Estate so I am able to give more time and love to animals!
