I have attended Wilson College for the veterinary technician program. During that time, I was required to complete kennel duty which entails cleaning the dog and cat kennels, as well as feeding, watering, and walking. I then changed my major and completed my Bachelor's degree of Science in Animal Studies, focusing on the the animal-human bond, ethical treatment, and welfare of animals. This helped to open my eyes more into how the world views the importance of protecting wildlife, being a voice for the voiceless, and how each animal has it's own significance in our ecosystem. I am currently taking a veterinary assistant certification program and will be doing an externship to follow. I enjoy caring for animals, playing with them, and making them feel safe and loved.
