Dear Dog Moms Looking for a Caring and Organized Pet-sitter, My name is Desiree! Growing up I’ve had 2 dogs, a cat, ferrets and even chickens but don’t get me wrong I’m still a bit of a clean freak. In college, I worked part-time as a dog walker in Manayunk where I received experience walking and managing multiple dogs at Two Dog People. Since then I have pivoted towards becoming an in-home pet sitter for over a year now, giving me experience with senior dogs, special needs dogs, cats, and puppies. Recently discovered I am pretty good at dog grooming. I am passionate about my niche and take pet care very seriously. I get along best with pet moms that want a sitter that prioritizes their pet’s happiness and comfort so they can have a carefree vacation.

Desiree was wonderful with our dog and kitties while we were on vacation! She was friendly, communicative, and professional - and when we got back, our house looked better than we left it! She sent lots of photos/updates, and it looked like our critters were having a great time with her. We had such peace of mind knowing that our pets were in good hands while we were away. We’d absolutely use Desiree as our pet sitter for our next trip.
What’s important is my dogs were safe and happy however there were a few unforgivable events. First, she turned off her phone notifications and disappeared for almost 24 hours with no news of our dogs. We could not get in contact with her via phone or text. As well, each day she had to be prompted multiple times before we received an update (despite us clarifying we want daily updates). The cherry on top is we also came home to at least $80-$100 of groceries missing (we did not open an invitation to eat any our food and she even THAWED some of our frozen food) and multiple of our shelves rearranged and items moved that didn’t need to be touched at all. Very disappointed in our return home.
Where do I even begin? Desiree truly sets the standard for dog care. I contacted her last minute when my normal sitter had a family emergency and Desiree went above and beyond to make sure my 2 dogs were comfortable and loved. She stayed for a long weekend while I was away on a trip and kept me updated with photos and messages. I have a low maintenance older lab and a high-energy one year old German shepherd mix. She was able to make sure both of them got exactly what they needed while I was away, and as a dog mom you can’t ask for anything more. She was in tune to their needs instantly and always had their best interests at the front of her mind. I am a neat freak and my home was even cleaner than when I left. Desiree even ran the dishwasher and brought my garbage bins in after they were collected. I couldn’t be more impressed, and will 100% book in the future. Thank you, Desiree!
Desiree is the best! She stayed with my 3 high maintenance cats while I was out of town and left my home in such better shape than I left it. My older cat can be shy but he was right up on Desiree as soon as he met her. 2 of the cats are on meds and she handled everything without a problem. Really I can’t say enough about and how sweet and loving Desiree is and truly my home was better off for her visit! ?

I try to think of every detail in the home to keep it organized and clean from laundry, vacuuming, and mixing the perfect vinegar concoction to get a pee stain out of your new expensive carpet. Got a playful pup? Well I am always down to play whether its running around the yard or playing fetch. Fussy pup needs a bath? If necessary the whole day will be dedicated to making sure he is groomed properly with the least amount of stress. I’m also really big on cleanliness. I will treat your home like my own and leave it just as clean if not cleaner than how you left it.

Please let me know if you have any special instructions for your pet, your pet is special needs, or if they have minor issues like pulling on walks. I am not afraid of bigger dogs and I will be patient and stop walking for pullers that need extra time to learn.
A typical day
Your pet can expect snacks, baby talk and walks throughout the day while they wait for mom to come back. I am an active person and I look forward to playing outside with high energy pets that need it. For older or special needs dogs I’m down to have a cuddle buddy while working remotely. If your fur baby is shy then I’m patient and can just keep them company in the same room while I am working remote.

Availability
I work remotely as a designer and content creator so your fur baby is almost never alone and will receive constant attention during the day and overnight. I send live photos throughout the day and am always within reach. My availability is displayed in my rover calendar and is updated as often as possible.
