Pet care experience
I grew up always having a pet around which fostered my love of being with animals. As a young adult, I had the pleasure of raising a laid-back, well behaved Huskador with my past partner/current friend, and currently care for two fun-loving cats who are always eager to make new friends. In years past, I have taken the time to really understand how the mind of a dog works and what are the best ways to guide and love on them, utilizing training techniques picked up from Cesar Milan. That being said, I’m also not so rigid to the point where your pup can’t just simply have fun being a pup. I have found myself truly missing the loving interaction that comes from being around dogs, since I can’t have one at my apartment. This is where we can help each other! I would be honored and excited to give your fur-babies the love and attention that they deserve and treat them as if they were my own. Doggie cuddles and kisses are my favorite and I definitely believe that dog people are the best kind of people so I can't wait to meet you and your furry best friend! Please get in touch with me in advance with any specific questions or concerns you may have regarding the care of your pet. I will do my best to accommodate for whatever their needs may be!

Desiree was great with us! She came over before the initial drop-in so both Rosey and I could meet her. Rosey warmed up to Desiree right away. Desiree was very responsive with all her communication. We will definitely be using her again.
Desiree took great care of my babies while we were gone for 3 weeks. I was very nervous leaving them for that long. Desiree sent me info and pictures from every visit enabling me to relax and enjoy our vacation knowing and ‘seeing’ that my boys were fine. (She also kept our flowers alive and well by watering them.) We would highly recommended her as she is responsible, thoughtful and truly cares about the ‘kids’ she’s been entrusted to care for.
Dolly loved Desiree and showed instant trust. Would love to use Desiree again.

Inside the home, I’m pretty laid back with pets and tend to lounge with them in their favorite room. However, my preference for them and myself is to get outside for fresh air and mental stimulation. I love going on walks and seeing the neighborhood with your fur babes.
Information Desiree H. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your pup has any health issues I should be aware of before exercising them, such as recent injuries, joint issues, or simply general fatigue. It will also be helpful to know in advance how well they are on leash so I can plan accordingly.
A typical day
Me and your doggo with wake up leisurely and listen to some music while we have breakfast and get ready for the day. At this point, we’ll get some exercise in which will usually be a walk or jog depending on what we’re both up to. If there’s a nice enclosed outdoor space nearby, we’ll play some fetch as well. After we get our zoomies out, it’s time to head home where we’ll get a treat for a great outing. I’ll head to work in the afternoon, after which we’ll go on a short walk before bedtime.

Availability
I usually work evenings, which leaves the daytime for me to take your dog on a walk or to the park to spend some quality time before heading out for work. Depending on their dinner schedule, I can leave food before my shift when I get back. We can discuss more specifics upon booking!
