Pet care experience
I was given full responsibility of my dog at age 5. I can’t imagine life without such a companion. They are our family members. I love being able to observe and listen and care for their needs and personalities. Input love and provide their needs. Bonding with and bonding over dogs isn’t rocket science. But their care matters because they matter!

Podrick and Penny had a great time with Derek and his pups. They were happy and exhausted when they came back home with us. Derek went above and beyond taking care of our pups - making them feel at home and comfortable. Very appreciative of the pupdates and pictures.
Derek is so fantastic with dogs! He understands what they need and is so attentive to their well-being. He nurtures and loves them with patience and attention to detail. He is good at being responsible while also making sure that they’re having fun! I have seen him be the best dog dad to his pup and to my pup.

I have a large yard (although unfenced) with many miles of paved and unpaved walkways for on leash outings. Minimal Town/city traffic. Quiet open spaces. Having an open home design allows for dogs to make themselves feel at home whether space for crate or stretching of legs is needed.

I am my own boss, working in and out of home. I am happy to work with schedules and hear what needs exist. I have one incredibly sweet Shepherd who can cater to many dog personality and play styles when dog social can happen. She loves walks and being mellow in home.
