Pet care experience
**About me** Large, sunny, dog friendly townhouse with private outdoor space. I work from home and my wife is a law student- meaning we both get to spend a lot of time with our fun and hilarious golden retriever, Ahab (11 months old as of March 2017). All areas ofour home,h both upstairs and dow,n are dog friendly- with an outdoor porch and lawn, as well as plenty of hikes and dog runs nearby. Before coming to LA, we lived in Hong Kong and New York. My background is in finance and foreign policy and my wife was in publishing before starting law school. We have lived in Los Angeles since the summer of 2016, though my wife was raised here.
Reviews
Derek watched Sherman; our family's springer spaniel on several occasions when we traveled outside the country. He is always responsive and dependable. Sherman adores him. Sometimes we worry that he would rather stay with Uncle Derek than return home. We were sad to see him move to the West Coast, but we are happy for all LA dogs that will find a kindred spirit in Derek.
Derek loves dogs and is an excellent dog parent. He is like a large puppy himself: he has a blast playing with dogs of all sizes. He is also very responsible. I would happily entrust him with my dog.

**About my home/services** We are very hands on with out pets/guests, including minimal time left alone, and plenty of outdoor playtime and exercisd. We and our golden Ahab have a blast hosting other dogs, and have plenty of toys and space for playing in the house as well as access to the lawn and the parks of the neighborhood. I also have a car to take Ahab and guests to nearby hikes.
