Pet care experience
Hello! I make a great a dog sitter and walker because I view them as family members and love to interact with them. I have been around dogs my entire life and grew up taking care of our family poodle and husky. I have also been very lucky enough to dogsit for a couple of friends over the years and have taken care of many different dog breeds including: husky, german shepherd, labrador retriever, basenji, pekingese, chihuahua, pomeranian, pitbull, cockapoo, corgi, shiba inu, rottweiler, australian shepherd, as well as other animals (cats and birds). I would love to help out with keeping your dog(s) company and making sure that his or her stay without you is as comfortable and stress-free as possible. I have several devices at hand in order to provide as much updates on your pooch and be as responsive as you would like me to be! I also would like to take your dog out so that he or she is able to enjoy the day without having to be forced to stay inside, missing you while you are away. I hope you pick me to care for your pet!
Reviews
Dennis is a wonderful dog sitter. He gave us peace of mind even though our dog is very skiddish and nervous sometimes. It’s nice having Dennis’s family available to lend a hand as well.
Dennis was beyond amazing with my Rotti. I got Daily photos, videos and updates on her status everyday. I totally recommend Dennis to care for your pets. I believe my dog is sad to be home and misses Dennis.
Dennis was the best sitter. So good I think my dog Max misses him and the big backyard didn't hurt. While I was on vacation Dennis sent me updates with photos and videos of Max having a great time, eating or just exploring. You really will not find a better sitter than Dennis and this was better than a 'traditional' dog hotel. Would highly recommend and book again! So long as you don't book on the days I intend to book Dennis lol
This is a repeat booking with Dennis since I started using Rover. He is fantastic to work with and really tries to make you and your pet feel as comfortable as possible about the separation. I was initially worried about leaving my dog with a sitter since she's a bit skittish and difficult at times. However, from start to finish, Dennis made sure to have all the necessary information and kept in constant contact with photo and video updates. My dog had a blast staying at his house with him and his family (I almost think she didn't want to come home). Highly recommend him, you will not find a better sitter.

** In order to properly accommodate your pet's sitter experience, I kindly ask that you please contact me at least 2 days in advance of the date needed for your service to guarantee my availability. I understand that emergencies may happen and I will do my best to accommodate a last minute stay request. Thank you! ** Additionally, please take some time to answer any applicable questions below. I will go over these questions with you prior to any booking to ensure a smooth time for your pooch! (: Has your dog spent time away from you and your family under the care with strangers? What is your dog's daily routine like? How do you deal with bad behavior and how you would like me to deal with poor behavior, if any? On the other hand, how do you reward good behavior? How often does your dog have meals and treats per day? What kind of snacks does your dog like? Are there any allergies to certain foods, substances, treats, and/or objects around the house that could possibly cause issues with your dog? Will your dog require any medications, special needs, or extra care? Will your dog require any extra services (grooming, washing, training, etc.)? Is there anything I will need to keep an extra eye out for? Do you have any commands that your dog will listen to for certain circumstances? Does your dog scratch, bite, bark or jump on anyone when excited? How is your dog's behavior usually on a walk? Does he/she pull ahead or remain at a calm pace? Additionally, will your dog approach other people or animals on a walk? My home contains staircases at the front and back entrances. Does your dog have any difficulty going up and down staircases? I aim to provide your dog a comfortable and stress-free as possible time for your dog. Is there anything that will scare or have your dog react in a negative way inside (TVs, sounds, mirrors, etc.) and outside (people, children, dogs, cats, squirrels, etc,) of my/your home? Can your dog be left alone for a certain amount of time and will he or she have any sort of separation anxiety that you know of? Please provide instructions for a medical emergency. I will require your dog’s veterinary information and whom I should contact if they have pet insurance or require any other instructions.
A typical day
When caring for your dog in my home, my neighborhood and community make an excellent spot for going on walks or playtime with a nearby park that has its own dog park. If they enjoy playing catch, being in the sun or shade, or just lounging around, I can provide several toys for their enjoyment unless, of course, they prefer their own toys!
