I’m a medical student with ample experience with both dogs and cats, and believe that I am well equipped to provide your fur baby with the love and care he/she needs! I had a cat growing up, whose care was mainly my responsibility so I had the chance to be involved with animals closely starting from a young age. In college, I spent my weekends volunteering and taking dogs out on walks at the humane society. Later on, I gained a lot of experience dog sitting for my friends and I loved it so much that I got my own pup. I got Elsa, a husky mix, about a year ago when she wasn’t even 1 years old yet. She was the cutest dog I’d ever seen but she hadn’t been trained for basic commands and at about 50 pounds, I knew it was going to be some work. Training her is a journey that hasn’t been complete yet but both of us have learned so much and it has been very rewarding. I love working with her and am proud of her progress, so I will be very happy to hear about your training and help you with consistency when you are away. My pup is great with other dogs, especially those her size, so I am sure she will get along very well with yours as well! I currently have class in the mornings for 1-2 hours but am usually free in the afternoons, spending time studying at home or going out on walks with my dog Elsa. Weekends are reserved for longer hikes on trails, especially in the beautiful fall weather! I don’t have a fenced yard but have multiple trails a short driving distance away that I frequent with my own dog. Pets are allowed on furniture accept for my bed and my dog is typically crated when I’m not at home, but I happily work with your training/ rules to best accommodate your pet’s needs.
