Hello! I wanted to introduce myself and tell you a little about me. My name is Denise, and I have cared for animals professionally for a lot of my adult life. Starting off with a degree in Animal Care Sciences from Becker College in Leicester, Massachusetts and graduating at the top of my class in 1996, I learned to care for different types of animals in a variety of settings. I have worked for a boarding kennel, 3 different animal shelters/SPCAs, a veterinary hospital, and had my own pet sitting business. I've had many special experiences where I was able to reach out to animals and show them the love they deserve. I also choose to live a vegan lifestyle, following a plant-based diet and avoiding the use of any animal products. You can always be assured that your special family members are in good hands with me! They will be well-cared for and have fun while you are away. Lots of pictures are taken and FaceTiming with the pet parents can be done, too, if that's what you would like. I love going for long walks and playing fetch, rope, or whatever your dog enjoys doing!! I absolutely love cats, so I welcome any requests to look after them as well. "Just wanted to take a minute to give a recommendation and kudos to a fellow Palmer, I was visiting my sick father and (on the advice of another neighbor) hired Denise Violetta to watch our fur-babies for the long weekend. Sadly, my father succumbed to the illness invading his body while we were visiting and we had to prolong our stay (twice). Denise reassured us that our pets and the house would be OK, and not to worry. She went above and beyond, we hired her to visit once a day, she visited twice. We would get a dozen photos of our pets happy while she spent time playing with them daily. In addition to feeding them, she scooped the litter box, brought out/in the trash cans, brought in the mail, opened the locked gate for the pool cleaner, watered plants, swapped out blown light bulbs, turned lights on and off around the house for security purposes and looked after the house. We returned after a couple weeks to a secure house and happy and healthy pets. Happy to recommend Denise to anyone looking for a house and pet-sitter in the neighborhood.
