Pet care experience
I have been fostering shelter dogs since 2017. I've worked with dogs with complicated medical situations, seniors, and scared/shy dogs. They've left my care better than when first arriving. I take care of all sizes of dogs BUT the heavier the dog is, the older and better behaved they need to be. For example, I can take care of your over 20lb dog, but if dog chases squirrels or other pulling behavior it is not safe for either of us. Safety first! I am a small lady with lots of love & caring but not super strong. Think “grandma.” If dog needs to be carried up and down stairs (say 14 stairs) dog needs to be 10lbs or under. If over 20lbs, I definitely need a meet and greet, unless 12 years and/or Good Canine Citizen. 1 year to 3 years old over 20lbs might be too rambunctious. Saying all of this as a time saver.

I would highly recommend Denise for pet sitting. I was worried because my pup is recovering from surgery. She was extremely conscientious, taking into account his special needs. Additionally, she was extremely understanding when I had to cut my trip short due to unreliable caregivers. I would definitely use her again in the future .
It was great working with Denise . Very patient and cared a lot for toffee .

I let your pet guide me and tell me its needs. Of course within bounds! No box of pizza! But I do hear: got to go potty; thirsty; tired; scared; want to play; leave me alone; pet me please. I have a fenced in small yard. If dog likes to lay in the sun, I've got a place for that.

I need to know if your dog is friendly with other dogs. If it isn't that's ok! Does your dog pull on leash? If so, I can't walk it if over 30 lbs. Is your dog reactive on leash? If so, I can't walk it if over 16 lbs. Does your dog resource guard? And of course - are there any allergies.
A typical day
I know where to take dog-reactive dogs to walk. I know where to take social dogs to walk. A typical day would be morning walk. Afternoon walk with stimulating activities/tricks. Evening walk with brushing and pets afterward.

Availability
I currently work at home part-time with a flexible schedule so I can easily accommodate most situations. Typically, we have an adventurous long walk in morning, medium walk in afternoon and short walk in the evening. I offer a discount/modification for stays over 13 days.
