Come stay, it's the next best thing to being at home! Daycare, overnight boarding and occasionally I can offer visits to your home in the area. I have been pet sitting professionally for the past 10 years and have great references. I have had a love for animals and passion for their welfare, since childhood. As a result, my home is full of animal companions, all rescues of course. I am grateful to have space, time and energy to share with guest dogs of any age (experienced with puppies, seniors and disabled dogs). Doggy gated areas and crates are provided, as needed for separate quarters or simply some quiet time. I have worked for vets in the past and have some tech experience. Most of the time I am at home, as I telecommute part time from my home office. There are resident indoor cats, so cat friendly dogs are welcome. Of course there will be curiosity even if your dog is acquainted with cats already. Just want to be sure there is not any aggression or predatorial behavior. My home is a ranch style house, in a quiet, wooded subdivision, in N. Durham, just 15 minutes from downtown. I have a large fenced and also a large deck for sunning or napping in the shade. Papi, Penny & Otis love having guests to play with and mostly lounge around the house. They can be a bit bossy, so they get along best with more submissive personalities. We will have an initial meet and greet to be sure of compatibility. I usually limit my guests to 2 maximum, so that everyone gets enough attention and their own space. In most cases your dog will be the only guest. Please note that there is a surcharge of ten dollars for holidays (Thanksgiving day,Christmas eve & day,New years eve & day, Easter day, Labor & Memorial days & July 4th). If you have 2 or 3 dogs, there is an extra fee of 15 dollars per dog (per night). I also offer animal communication and Healing Touch for Animals sessions, as extra services, which can be very beneficial for health and behavioral issues. Also, I have experience with and welcome the exotic pets i.e. bunnies, guinea pigs, other rodents & some reptiles) inquire for a lower/custom rate. There are resident bunnies and a guinea pig, in a separate room. I will do my best to meet your pet companion's needs and make them feel at home, whether they want to play chase, fetch,wrestle, or simply lounge around, have belly rubs, get brushed, and of course lots of TLC daily.
