Pet care experience
We have cared for our own dogs for 25+ years. Currently, we have one very friendly dog, Thunder, whom we adopted from a local shelter. Nikki and I would love to open our home to other dogs or visit your home to help you with all your pet care needs. We believe having two of us working together allows greater flexibility to care for your dog. We also have two children that love dogs and will definitely provide plenty of play time with your pet if you board with us. Additionally, we just installed a new 6' fence (pictures coming soon) so we have a sizeable fenced-in backyard for your pet. Deerfield is a very dog-friendly community and we walk or run your dog in any weather! Nikki and I both have experience with small to large dog breeds as well as senior animals. Also, we are willing to clean up your yard for an additional fee, if desired. We both live and work in Deerfield, IL, and are very flexible with local travel to your location.

Shadow received excellent care from Denis and Nikki. They sent updates and pictures and he came back better rested and more energetic than when boarded in a kennel. Would definitely use Denis and Nikki for future boardings.

We have a fenced in yard as well as a multi-level home that allows plenty of space for your pet. We have dogs beds, crates, bowls and toys, but feel free to bring your own. Owners will be required to provide their own dog food.

All dogs MUST be dog-friendly. Typically, we only watch one dog, but we will board up to 2 dogs at any time as we do receive last minute requests due to family emergencies. If you have a dog that is aggressive towards other dogs, this will ruin the experience for your dog as well as the other dogs. Please be honest with us if your dog is aggressive and we will work with you if we are not watching any other dogs during the time frame of your stay. Also, we cannot watch dogs that are prone to accidents in the house. While we understand that dogs in a new environment will have accidents, please remember this is our house and we have children. If your dog suffers from any type of incontinence, please be honest with us.
A typical day
Multiple parks within walking distance as well as a dog park. Great neighborhood with sidewalks throughout. We also run as a hobby so we are willing to run with your dog, if desired.

We have been caring for various pets in our home for 25+ years. We are able to work with you on your pet's schedule so they receive the best care possible. One of us works from home during the day and our weekend routines are typical of any other family.
