Pet care experience
I’m a longtime dog lover with well-trained rescues of my own. I have studied and used gentle, non-violent training techniques for 30 years and have been caring for doggie guests for more than 10 years on our secluded mini farm in Ohio’s beautiful Amish Country. Guests are treated like our own pets, special instructions and diets are closely followed, and pets are NEVER left outside unattended. Doggie guests aren’t kept isolated during their stay; the dogs and people in my house hang out and socialize together. All dogs are given walks and outdoor time when they want it and crated overnight only when necessary. Photos of dogs can be sent to owners upon request. Most importantly, doggie guests get lots of love, attention, and snuggles.

Denise was very prompt in getting back to us. She is very friendly and outgoing. Her home is nicely fenced and in a beautiful setting in the Amish countryside. She sent several pics of our dog Cooper and made sure he got his nightly treat. Very pleased With the care he received! Thanks Denise!!!
Denice and her family are just fantastic! Rover loves it with them, and I always feel so at ease leaving him there. Their house is very orderly and clean, and the fenced yard is lovely. I highly recommend!
Denice was excellent. We had a meet-&-greet a few days before she was to dog-sit. She listened as I told her all about my dog and his tendencies and habits. She was very patient and kind, and genuinely cared about my dog's happiness and comfort, and also cared about my concerns. She took time to answer all my questions. When she was doggy-sitting she texted me regular updates about my dog, and even included photos and a video. I greatly appreciated her personability and her obvious love for animals. She also was able to accommodate my booking request on short notice (over a holiday!!), which I was so grateful for! I will definitely plan to send our family dog to her again.
Thunder has a wonderful time with Denice! He was well cared for and came home happy! I definitely recommend Denice and will have Thunder stay in her care in the future when I have to go out of town. Thank you Denice!
