Hello from Demi and Ben! We are Zookeepers! We have taken care of polar bears, tigers,elephants, giraffe as well as our 2 dogs, 3 cats and 2 reptiles. We currently work at the MD Zoo but we are Midwesternerns at heart. I gained a majority of my animal care experience from working at the Toledo Zoo. Ben has worked at a few zoos in his career and we love animals of all kinds and want to help better their lives in anyway possible. We would love to meet your furry friends and help you out anytime!

Demi was incredible with our pup, who has a lot of special requirements and can be behaviourally challenging. She gave her meds twice a day, followed a super specific feeding schedule, updated us regularly, and handled her food aggression and dog reactivity like an absolute pro!! We were able to enjoy our vacation knowing our fur baby was in excellent hands. She also left our home in perfect condition! I would not hesitate to recommend Demi for all your pet needs! We are so thankful to have found her.
Demi & her S.O., Ben were amazing. We'd just adopted Sparky two weeks prior to having to go out of town for a funeral and they made him feel right at home. Even gave him an unsolicited bath because he was itchy! They're now my go-to for dogsitting. 10/10
What an incredible stay for George the beagle. Demi and her family really take your dog in as one of their own. Both she and her husband work at the MD Zoo and I felt very reassured that my older beagle would be in good and safe hands -12/10
We have used Demi a few times now for our dog and house sitting. We totally trust her with our buddy and house! Our dog is fearful of other animals and Demi goes above and beyond to ensure he is taken care of and is the only animal in the house. She is communicative and kind and we would recommend her to anyone!

We have a fenced in back yard with two 16lb dogs. I also have 3 cats who occupy the entire house, but also have the entire basement to themselves. All pets are up to date on vaccines and vet visits. I love making enrichment items for my cats and dogs and both dogs are very obedient.

The most important information for me to know about your fur babe is how well they get along with others, if they are on medication, or any other dietary or behavioral restrictions I need to keep in mind.
A typical day
We love playing outside with dogs, or going on long walks. Exploring new parks or parks your pet enjoy are also excellent options. If there is inclement weather i like to make enrichment for pets (approved by fur moms and dads of course!) I can also help train your dog basic obedience behaviors as well.

Availability
We currently work a full time Job, but can be available in the evenings as well as all day Wednesdays and Thursdays. I am also not opposed to boarding animals or staying over to accommodate animals more comfortable in their own homes. Walking and drop ins are also available.
